Note: These error codes may be caused by factors

OTHER THAN FAULTY INJECTOR
P0200, P0201, P202, P203, P204, P205, P206, P207, P208P0300, P0301, P0302, P0304, P0305, P0306, P0307, P0308P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175P0087, P0088P0093P0261 – P0296
P0200, P0201, P202, P203, P204, P205, P206, P207, P208

Injector circuit malfunction (Cylinder 1 → 8)

Usually caused by:

  • Bad injector coil
  • 👉Broken wiring
  • 👉Poor connector contact
  • 👉ECU driver issue

P0300, P301, P302, P304, P305, P306, P307, P308

Cylinder Misfire Codes

Happens when an injector is clogged, leaking, or not firing:

  • P0300 – Random/multiple cylinder misfire
  • P0301 – P0308 – Misfire on specific cylinder

👉Could also be spark plugs or coils, but injectors are a very common cause.

P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175

Fuel Trim / Air-Fuel Ratio Codes

Injectors not delivering proper fuel amount:

  • P0171 – System too lean (Bank 1)
  • P0172 – System too rich (Bank 1)
  • P0174 – System too lean (Bank 2)
  • P0175 – System too rich (Bank 2)

👉 Causes:

  • Clogged injector → lean
  • Leaking injector → rich

P0087, P0088

Injector Stuck / Flow Issues

 More common on direct-injection engines:

  • P0087 – Fuel rail pressure too low
  • P0088 – Fuel rail pressure too high

P0093

Large fuel leak detected

This code means the ECU sees a rapid, abnormal drop in fuel pressure that looks like fuel is escaping the system.

P0261 – P0296

Injector circuit low/high or performance issues

The engine control module (ECM) has detected abnormal electrical behavior or performance in one or more fuel injectors. This may involve:

  • Low or high voltage in the injector control circuit
  • Incorrect injector response time
  • Fuel delivery outside expected limits
