ERROR CODES

IMPORTANT NOTE

These error codes may be caused by factors OTHER THAN FUEL INJECTOR ISSUE

P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175→Injector circuit malfunction

Usually caused by:

  • Bad injector coil
  • 👉Broken wiring
  • 👉Poor connector contact
  • 👉ECU driver issue

NON fuel injector error under the same codes:

Air/Vacuum Issues

👉 Vacuum leaks (hoses, intake boot, intake gasket)
👉 PCV valve stuck open
👉 Brake booster vacuum leak
👉 Intake manifold cracks
👉 EVAP purge valve stuck open

P0300, P301, P302, P304, P305, P306, P307, P308→Cylinder misfire error Codes

Happens when an injector is clogged, leaking, or not firing:

  • P0300 – Random/multiple cylinder misfire
  • P0301 – P0308 – Misfire on specific cylinder

👉Could also be spark plugs or coils, but injectors are a very common cause.

P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175→Fuel trim/air-fuel ratio error codes

Injectors not delivering proper fuel amount:

  • P0171 – System too lean (Bank 1)
  • P0172 – System too rich (Bank 1)
  • P0174 – System too lean (Bank 2)
  • P0175 – System too rich (Bank 2)

👉 Causes:

  • Clogged injector → lean
  • Leaking injector → rich

P0087, P0088→Injector stuck/flow Issues

Upgrade your vehicle's performance and sound with our selection of exhaust systems and components. We carry top brands and a variety of options.

P0093→Large fuel leak detected

This code means the ECU sees a rapid, abnormal drop in fuel pressure that looks like fuel is escaping the system.

P0261 – P0296→Injector circuit low/high or performance issues

The engine control module (ECM) has detected abnormal electrical behavior or performance in one or more fuel injectors. This may involve:

  • Low or high voltage in the injector control circuit
  • Incorrect injector response time
  • Fuel delivery outside expected limits
